Best Affordable RV Campgrounds in California

Best RV Campgrounds

In today’s article we are traveling out to California to take you through a virtual visit of the five best affordable RV campgrounds in the state. All of these campgrounds can be enjoyed for between $25 and $50 a night in an RV.

Jumbo Rocks Campground – Joshua Tree National Park

As the name suggests, this campground is surrounded by large rocks which will make you feel as if you are truly a part of nature. These large rocks also make the campground feel very secluded from others so you will hardly know that you are even in a campground. If you are looking for a secluded place to get away then this is the spot for you. It is also highly affordable since it is in a National Park which are typically cheaper than privately owned campgrounds.

South Carlsbad State Beach – Carlsbad, CA

This is State owned campground and it is the only one on the coastline. From the second you walk out your RV door in the morning you will be greeted by the soothing sounds of the ocean. It also has the full amenities that you would expect from a campground and more. Even with all of these bonuses and the great scenery it is still a highly affordable RV campground.

Upper Pines Campground – Yosemite National Park

We return to the national parks with this campground which is also secluded but instead of large rocks it is large trees. Yosemite National Park has stellar views in general, but with this campground every time you look up at the stars you will be greeted with a picturesque view. What also makes this campground great is that they offer free shuttle rides around the park which saves you even more money on gas.

Wawona Campground – Yosemite National Park

This is the second and also highly affordable campground that lies in Yosemite National Park. Rather than hiding in the forest, this campground lies next to the river and is slightly smaller than the previous park. Even though there are less RV sites here, all visitors state that this is the less packed campground in the summer if that is something that you care about. Either way, it joins the list of affordable campgrounds being that it is a part of the National Park system.

Furnace Creek Campground – Death Valley National Park

We are back with yet another National Park campground, but with the low price and amazing views they truly cannot be beat. Now if you know anything about Death Valley then you surely know how hot it gets in the summer. Do not be afraid, because the campground is lined with trees to keep you cool during all of the summer months. This campground is also unique because it has a golf course on the grounds that somehow remains green despite all of the brown that it is surrounded by.

We hope that you found this list helpful and we hope you enjoy your visit to any of these affordable RV campgrounds in California!
